We have a new opportunity for a Marine Superintendent | LNG within Northern Marine Group. 

Location: Glasgow, Clydebank (with occasional travel as required).
Reporting to: Marine Manager

Overview:
This is a strong opportunity to join a global organisation and become part of a growing LNG fleet. It is particularly well suited to a seagoing professional looking to transition ashore, offering the chance to utilise your onboard experience in a dynamic and supportive office environment.

The Marine Superintendent will provide operational support and technical guidance to assigned LNG vessels, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. You will act as a key link between ship and shore, supporting day-to-day operations, inspections, and continuous improvement across the fleet.

Required skill set and experience:

  • Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2)

  • Seagoing experience as a senior officer, ideally with LNG vessel exposure

  • Experience working on LNG carriers or within gas tanker operations

  • Strong understanding of LNG cargo operations and associated safety requirements

  • Knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and industry vetting processes such as OCIMF and SIRE

  • Experience conducting vessel inspections, audits, and ship visits

  • Ability to support incident investigations and produce detailed reports

  • Strong operational, safety, and compliance knowledge within marine environments

  • Commercial awareness and ability to support cost control and budgeting

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work effectively within a global, multicultural environment

Office attendance:
Hybrid working available, with regular office attendance expected in Glasgow. The business operates a 5 day per week in office presence, with the ability to utilise hybrid working, after probation period, up to twice a week, in line with business needs.
