Marine Sales Representative – USA
Are you a driven sales professional with experience in the maritime, fire protection or life-safety industries?
The company
A growing fire and life-safety organisation is expanding its marine business across commercial shipping, government and defence, offshore energy, shipyards, ports, passenger vessels, and the yacht and superyacht markets.
We are seeking a Marine Sales Representative to generate new business and grow existing customer accounts across an assigned territory or marine vertical.
Can you combine consultative selling skills with the technical understanding needed to build lasting relationships throughout the maritime sector?
You may have developed your experience in marine fire protection, maritime safety, life-saving appliances, fire suppression, safety systems, shipbuilding, offshore services or related inspection and service solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Prospect, qualify and close new business opportunities
• Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts
• Build relationships with vessel owners, fleet operators, shipyards, ports, marinas and yacht-management companies
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across inspection, service, installation, engineering and compliance solutions
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts and activity records within the CRM
• Support government, military and defence opportunities where required
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in outside sales, business development or account management. Experience within marine fire protection, maritime safety or a related technical industry is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with government or defence contracting processes would be advantageous.
Location:
Candidates should be based in or around Houston, TX, or one of the following California locations: San Diego, Long Beach or the San Francisco Bay Area.
The position requires approximately 40–60% travel to customer locations, shipyards, ports, marinas and other marine facilities. Occasional international travel may also be required.
