We are exclusively partnering with a well-established and leading port on the south coast of the UK to recruit a Marine Operations Manager to join their team.
This is a pivotal position within the operations function, combining senior operational leadership with an active pilotage responsibility. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vessels, while also contributing to strategic and day-to-day operational decision-making across the port.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day marine operations within the port
- Undertake pilotage duties, ensuring safe navigation of vessels in and out of port
- Make critical technical and operational decisions to support port activities
- Lead, manage, and develop the marine operations team
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement and operational planning initiatives
- Minimum experience sailing as a Chief Mate
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) is essential
- Strong people management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
