Manager, Crew Training & Development

Join a leading marine organisation and take ownership of training, competency and workforce development across a diverse seafaring workforce.
This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring crew are properly trained, certified and ready for deployment. You'll manage competency frameworks, training plans and compliance requirements, work closely with Crewing and Operations, and coordinate with maritime academies and training providers. You'll also support structured development pathways for junior officers, cadets and high-potential seafarers while strengthening learning standards across the fleet.
Key Requirements
- Proven shore-based experience in seafarer training, competency development or maritime learning & development, ideally within the offshore sector.
- Strong understanding of regulated maritime training requirements, including STCW, ISM, MLC, IMCA and OPITO.
- Experience managing training matrices, competency tracking, training providers and learning programmes around crew rotations and vessel deployment.
- Familiarity with LMS / e-learning platforms, with strong stakeholder coordination across multicultural seafarer populations.
- You should currently be based in Singapore, as relocation support is not available for this position.
