Our client is an established trading house with a growing presence in the global energy markets and is looking for an LNG Operator to join their international team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for a cargo operations professional with 2–5 years of experience to develop their career within a dynamic and international trading environment. Working closely with traders and counterparties, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth execution of LNG trades and gaining exposure to the wider commercial side of the business. You will be part of a collaborative team, working alongside experienced professionals across the global LNG market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end operational execution of LNG trades, working closely with traders and counterparties.
- Coordinate cargo nominations, scheduling, documentation and delivery requirements for LNG transactions.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trades are executed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain trade-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, shipping and operational documents.
- Monitor cargo movements and assist in resolving operational issues throughout the trade lifecycle.
- Work closely with Trading, Finance, Risk, Legal and other internal teams to support the smooth execution and settlement of trades.
- Assist with pricing calculations, invoicing, settlements and other commercial aspects of LNG transactions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all operational requirements are completed in accordance with contractual terms.
- Support the team in improving operational processes and ensuring a high standard of execution.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in commodities operations or trading, with experience in LNG, LPG or other physical commodities gained within a trading house, energy major, commodity company or shipping environment.
- Good understanding of cargo operations, shipping documentation and trade execution.
- Strong communicator with excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong interest in the LNG and international energy markets.
- Experience with ETRM systems, LNG pricing, invoicing or trade settlement would be advantageous.
