Faststream are working with a client that has over 70 years of industry knowledge that are looking to add a Hydrographic Surveyor to the team. My clients marine survey department has seen extensive growth in recent years. The majority of our work is for the aggregate industry, offshore wind, cables and infrastructure developments. Some of the client's work involves conducting regular surveys within ports around the UK.


The Role -
From the start, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and undertaking our bathymetric survey work ensuring that high quality data is acquired to meet client requirements.
Your role will extend from client liaison to mobilisation of vessels and data acquisition to data processing and reporting.
When you are not acquiring or working with bathymetric and geophysical data, you will be involved with oceanographic deployments, drone operations (both aerial and remotely operated vessels), environmental sampling and ecological survey.
You will also be working on bids, ensuring our offer is appropriate for client needs, involved in our promotional activities, attending conferences, exhibitions and business development meetings.

The Person -
  • A relevant degree in hydrography or marine science.
  • Experience in a hydrographic surveying roles.
  • Experience with industry standard survey equipment.
  • Experience with hydrographic survey acquisition software.
  • Experience with bathymetric processing software.
