Faststream is partnering up an established ship owner to look for a HR Manager in Singapore to support the next phase of its international growth.
You'd report directly to the Senior Management — setting up new entities, getting the employment framework right in each market, and hiring the commercial teams to fill them.
What you'll be doing
- Establishing HR from the ground up in new jurisdictions — employment contracts, handbooks, benefits, payroll and local advisory relationships
- Navigating employment legislation across Europe, the Middle East and Asia
- Leading recruitment for chartering, operations and shore-based support roles
- Writing group-wide policy that holds up across very different labour markets
- Managing the relationship between HQ, the Singapore office and new overseas entities
- HR generalist experience with genuine recruitment ownership
- Track record supporting overseas office set-ups, or strong multi-jurisdiction employment knowledge
- Fluent Mandarin and English mandatory to manage international stakeholders
- Shipping background preferred
