I am currently working with a leading Cruise company who is recruiting for a Head of Trade Sales to join the successful sales and key account team.

The role will be in charge for Germany Sales through the distribution networks and management of the entire sales team, strategic sales planning, and business to business relations.

The Head of Trade Sales will be reporting directly to the Country Manager and will liaise internally with Sales planning and Revenue management functions to enhance the pricing positioning and commercial actions, including shaping the right set of accessibility options for German market. A key contributor to shaping the marketing strategy from B2C to B2B and to define the market needs for networks and retail.

Requirements of the position:
  • Proven sales executive experience
  • Able to meet and exceed sales and business plan
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels, internally and with partners
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • BS degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience in trade sales
  
Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility of Trade Sales Costa Germany execution and performance
  • Developing and executing strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Manage co-marketing budget allocations
  • Leading the trade sales team of 10 people of Costa Germany through data driven approach
  • Define segmentation of travel trade market in Germany
  • Define service level for each cluster of travel agencies
  • Shape portfolio of accounts for each sales manager
  • Support the definition of relevant connectivity to cruise ports, to exploit demand basins
  • Contribute to develop the trade marketing strategy and to provide the retail needs
  • Directly handle large-scale negotiation for full-commitment sales or charter deals with important travel networks
