Faststream are working with a vibrant and growing charity within the marine sector. 

As the Head of Apprenticeships your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing the operational delivery of subcontracted and direct apprenticeship delivery.
  • Meet or exceed the performance standard of the regulatory framework to ensure high quality apprenticeships.
  • Seek out new opportunities in line with the strategic objectives to grow the provision in a managed way.
  • Establish and deliver a quality review cycle in line with the Ofsted and Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requirements to assure compliance, quality, and performance management of apprenticeship programmes, ensuring that issues identified are addressed and rectified in a timely manner.
  • Liase with the relevant instructors and leads to ensure the effective delivery of off the job training for direct delivery apprenticeships.
  • Design and deliver relevant professional development to tutor/trainers that improves the quality of teaching and learning and improves the learners’ experience.
  • To manage the annual subcontractor assurance audit process.
Requirements...

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
  • A recognised teaching/training qualification at level 3 or above
  • Assessor/verifier qualifications or willingness to work towards these
  • Experience working as a practitioner in Government-funded post 16 or adult education and training sector in the last 5 years
  • Successful track record of managing, or responsibility for, apprenticeship delivery including their design and implementation
  • DBS check is required and would need to be passed for this role.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
