Responsibilities:
- Manage Hull & Machinery (H&M), P&I, crew, cargo, and related marine insurance claims, ensuring timely filing, processing, settlements, and recoveries.
- Handle major vessel incidents
- Investigate claims, identify liable third parties, and pursue recoveries while minimizing operational impact.
- Oversee insurance coverage for the fleet and coordinate with insurers, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
- Support major incident response, claims reporting, and provide claims-related advice and training.
- Assist with arbitrations, mediations, litigation, and maintain accurate claims records.
- Occasional business travel and participation in the weekend emergency duty roster are required.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Law, Maritime Legal Studies, or Marine Insurance preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant marine insurance and claims experience in claims management
- Strong knowledge of maritime laws and conventions related to cargo liabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the container liner industry is preferred.
- Resilient with a sense of urgency and the ability to work well under demanding timelines.
