This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s approach to seafarer recruitment, development, retention, and performance—ensuring alignment between operational requirements, safety, compliance, and long-term workforce sustainability.

Singapore or Cyprus preferred (other global offices may be considered)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global crewing strategy, standards, and framework across the Group
- Lead the full seafarer lifecycle, including recruitment, development, retention, and career progression
- Oversee performance and governance of Crew Service Centres and Maritime Training Centres
- Partner closely with Ship Management Centres and key clients to ensure operational readiness and manpower alignment
- Strengthen and embed a robust safety culture, compliance framework, and loss prevention mindset
- Drive transformation of the crewing digital ecosystem, with a focus on automation, data insights, and efficiency gains
- Manage key external stakeholders including clients, unions, and industry bodies, maintaining strong and trusted relationships
- Continuously review and enhance global policies, standards, and crewing effectiveness
Core Capability Requirements
- Strong background in ship management and maritime operations
- Proven senior leadership experience within marine HR / crewing environments
- Deep understanding of global seafarer labour markets and maritime regulations
- Experience managing large, multi-location operational and training structures
- Strong stakeholder management across commercial, operational, and regulatory groups
- Strategic, forward-thinking leader with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a maritime or related discipline
- Advanced qualification such as an MSc in Human Resources, MBA, or senior maritime certification strongly preferred
- Extensive hands‑on experience in maritime human resources within an operational environment
- Practical knowledge of maritime operations and the realities of vessel-based labour management
