This is a key role that will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support the commercial and operational teams across Asia.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support the commercial and operational teams across Asia. This includes analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and developing insights that can be used to make informed business decisions.
- Develop pricing and margin strategies. This includes researching market conditions, analyzing costs, and developing pricing and margin strategies that will maximize profits.
- Negotiate contracts with customers. This includes understanding the customer's needs, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts that are in the best interests of the company.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts. This includes gathering financial data, developing estimates, and creating budgets and forecasts that are accurate and realistic.
- Manage financial risks. This includes identifying and assessing financial risks, developing plans to mitigate risks, and monitoring risks to ensure that they are being managed effectively.
- Build relationships with stakeholders. This includes building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and investors
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong understanding of financial principles and techniques. Strong experience in FP&A and commercial finance, the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at all levels of the organization, excellent analytical and communication skills, proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills, the ability to challenge, influence, and support others at all levels of the organization, and demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance. Exposure to the shipping and maritime industry will be preferred.
