This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging Dynamic Positioning (DP) and marine power system projects, developing specialist expertise across vessel electrical systems, automation, control, and marine assurance. You will join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team supporting clients across the offshore energy and marine industries, providing technical assurance and engineering expertise throughout the vessel lifecycle.
As an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer, you will support the assessment and assurance of modern offshore vessels and their associated electrical and control systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing marine electrical system designs, documentation, and technical studies
- Supporting Dynamic Positioning (DP) system assurance activities
- Assessing vessel power generation, distribution, and redundancy arrangements
- Reviewing electrical failure scenarios and supporting FMEA activities
- Supporting Power Management System (PMS) and Integrated Automation System (IAS) reviews
- Assessing vessel automation and control system architectures
- Reviewing propulsion, thruster, and variable frequency drive systems
- Supporting vessel trials, commissioning activities, and offshore inspections
- Producing clear technical reports and engineering documentation for clients
You may come from a background such as:
- Marine Electrical Engineering
- Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering

- Marine equipment or technology suppliers
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Automation, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and system philosophies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop specialist knowledge within marine assurance
