The role will be responsible for developing and implementing the long-term public health strategy, ensuring programmes are evidence-based, aligned with international best practice and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance across areas including communicable disease prevention, outbreak management, environmental health, food and water safety, emergency preparedness and employee health.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the global public health strategy.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Public Health team.
- Develop and maintain pandemic prevention, mitigation and response plans.
- Provide expert public health advice to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead the prevention and management of communicable disease and food- and waterborne outbreaks.
- Monitor emerging public health trends, research and risks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable US and international public health standards and regulations.
- Lead public health emergency preparedness, training and response activities.
- Oversee continuous improvement across shipboard and shoreside public health programmes.
- Represent the organisation at relevant public forums, committees and industry engagements.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in public health, including 10 years in a leadership capacity.
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology, disease prevention and environmental health.
- Proven experience in public health crisis and outbreak management.
- Experience in strategic planning, performance management and quality improvement.
- Extensive knowledge of public health protocols and regulatory standards.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
