Important: This role requires hands-on experience in Fire Detection & Alarm System design. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D engineering drawings and technical documentation based on project and client requirements
- Design electrical schematics, system layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD
- Support pre-sales activities including cost estimation, proposal preparation, and technical presentations
- Review and respond to technical clarifications from clients and stakeholders
- Source and liaise with suppliers on technical specifications and documentation updates
- Prepare and submit project documentation in accordance with project timelines
- Track and monitor documentation submission status across multiple projects
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on systems and components
- Prepare functional test documentation and support commissioning/testing activities
- Collaborate closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- 3–5 years of experience in Fire Detection & Alarm System design
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g., F&G, VESDA)
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as SOLAS, FSS Code, EN54, NFPA 72, and marine classification rules
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience in marine or offshore projects is highly advantageous
- Basic knowledge of SCADA, DCS, or other OT systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (risk awareness, best practices)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines independently
- Effective communicator with good stakeholder management skills
