We are supporting Northern Marine Group for the search for a Crew Strategy Manager

Reporting to: Head of Marine Personnel - Operations
Overview:
The Crew Strategy Manager will lead the development and delivery of the company’s long-term crewing strategy and global seafarer pipelines.
This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for translating fleet requirements, business growth plans, client requirements and labour-market conditions into effective workforce plans. You will play a key role in ensuring the business has access to sufficient, competent and cost-effective seafarers, while working closely with Ship Management, Recruitment, Training, Finance and wider stakeholders.
Responsibility's:
Develop and implement the long-term crewing strategy, ensuring sufficient and competent seafarer availability.
Lead strategic crew-demand forecasting, pipeline management and workforce planning.
Align crewing capacity with fleet expansion, client requirements and market trends.
Manage CBA agreements with unions and ITF, working closely with the employer.
Review and develop seafarer employment agreements, taking account of new vessels, clients, legislation and business requirements.
Manage relationships with crewing agencies, training providers, flag states, clients and regulators.
Oversee crew budget forecasting and analyse global crewing costs to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
Provide crewing expertise for bids, tenders, new contracts and potential ship acquisitions or management opportunities.
Use crewing KPIs, industry benchmarks and data analytics to support strategic decision-making.
Assess labour supply risks and emerging markets to support future workforce requirements.
Deputise for the Crewing Head when required and represent the company at relevant industry and client events.
Required experience:
Extensive experience within the maritime crewing sector
Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment, including MLC, ISM and STCW.
Proven experience managing internal and external stakeholders, with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong client-facing experience and the ability to manage complex and challenging situations.
Experience working against KPIs/SLAs and delivering against client requirements.
Proven team leadership and people management experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and drive process improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across a global, multicultural environment.
