Overview:
As Crewing Manager, you will oversee all aspects of crew management operations for the company’s fleet within Northern Marine Manning Services India. This is a leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, stakeholder management, and people leadership to ensure vessels are staffed with competent, compliant, and motivated seafarers. You will play a key role in driving crewing performance, supporting business growth, maintaining regulatory compliance, and enhancing seafarer engagement across the organisation. The role will also involve close collaboration with international stakeholders and senior leadership teams globally.
Required Skill Set and Experience:
- Experience in a similar leadership or crewing management role.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, including STCW, MLC, ISM, and related compliance standards.
- Experience managing marine personnel operations, crew planning, and stakeholder relationships.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities, with experience mentoring and developing teams.
- Strong client engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working with crewing management systems and relevant IT platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Understanding of marine recruitment, seafarer development, and succession planning activities.
- Certificate of Competency such as 2nd Mate or OOW Engine Certificate advantageous.
