Are you a UAE-based leader with a proven track record in growing and managing complex operational businesses?

Faststream is seeking a Country Director with senior experience in ship supply, maritime logistics, or offshore services to take full ownership of operations in the UAE- one of the group’s key strategic markets.
  
The Role

This is a senior leadership position with full accountability for financial performance, commercial success, and operational delivery. You will lead a cross-functional team, define and execute local strategy, and drive sustainable growth.
The role requires a hands-on, commercially focused leader who can operate at both a strategic and execution level.
  
Key Responsibilities

Business Expansion & Market Strategy
• Develop and deliver a clear growth strategy aligned with wider business objectives
• Identify and unlock new revenue opportunities within target markets
• Strengthen market presence and expand the customer base
Commercial Direction
• Drive financial performance through effective pricing and sales strategies
• Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
• Promote a proactive, opportunity-led commercial culture
Operations Oversight
• Oversee core operations including supply chain, logistics, and service delivery
• Improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality
• Implement scalable processes and systems to support growth
Team Leadership & Culture
• Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team
• Build leadership capability and accountability across functions
• Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture
Financial Accountability
• Take ownership of full financial performance, including revenue and cost control
• Improve profitability through commercial and operational initiatives
• Ensure strong financial governance and reporting
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
• Work closely with regional and central teams across key functions
• Operate effectively within a matrix structure
• Support transformation initiatives, including systems and process improvements
  
Requirements

Regional Expertise
• Proven experience within the GCC region
• Strong understanding of regional market dynamics and customer expectations
• Experience managing cross-border relationships
• Established industry network is advantageous
Professional Background
• Significant leadership experience with full P&L responsibility
• Background in logistics, marine, offshore services, port operations, or complex B2B environments
• Track record of driving growth, improving margins, and enhancing operations
• Experience managing multi-site or operationally complex businesses
Leadership Style
• Hands-on, visible leadership approach
• Strong commercial mindset with clear ownership of results
• Able to translate strategy into execution
