The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Corporate Food & Beverage Manager to join a growing European river cruise operation.
This is a highly visible, hands-on corporate role for an experienced F&B professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and enjoys being close to the operation.
You will work across the fleet, travelling regularly between vessels and working directly with onboard teams to drive consistency, quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This role would suit an energetic and proactive F&B leader looking to take their experience into a fleet-wide corporate position.
The Role
Reporting to the senior operational leadership team, you will support and develop Food & Beverage operations across the fleet, acting as a key link between the shoreside organisation and onboard teams.
You will help ensure consistently high standards of service, product delivery and guest experience, while identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and efficiency.
This is not a purely desk-based position. The successful candidate will be visible and hands-on, spending significant time working alongside onboard teams and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support F&B operations across the fleet
- Travel between vessels to monitor standards and support onboard teams
- Drive consistency in F&B service, presentation and guest experience
- Work closely with Hotel Managers, Restaurant Managers, Chefs and F&B teams
- Develop and implement F&B standards, procedures and best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and quality
- Conduct onboard operational reviews and provide coaching and guidance
- Support training and development initiatives
- Collaborate with shoreside teams on menu development, product standards, purchasing and cost control
- Build strong working relationships across onboard and shoreside teams
- Act as a visible, approachable and operationally focused leader
We are looking for a strong Food & Beverage professional with a genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to operate effectively across multiple locations.
You will ideally have experience within the river cruise industry, together with previous experience working across multiple vessels, properties or locations.
You should be comfortable working in a highly mobile, travelling capacity and enjoy being actively involved in the operation.
Key Experience & Skills
- Extensive F&B leadership experience within hospitality or cruise operations
- Previous river cruise experience highly advantageous
- Experience across multiple properties, vessels or locations preferred
- Strong operational and commercial mindset
- Proven ability to identify issues and implement practical improvements
- Experience managing, mentoring and developing diverse teams
- High standards of service and guest experience
- Energetic, hands-on and proactive leadership style
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider operational teams
