Are you an experienced Corporate Finance professional with a background in shipping and asset finance? Our client, an established international trading house, is seeking a commercially minded finance specialist to support the execution of financing activities across its maritime asset portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leading financial institutions, contribute to strategic funding initiatives, and gain exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced trading environment while supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of corporate and asset financing transactions from initial discussions through to completion.
  • Work closely with financial institutions and leasing partners to facilitate funding arrangements.
  • Assess financing structures, analyse commercial terms and provide financial insights to support investment decisions.
  • Coordinate financing documentation and ensure timely fulfilment of conditions required for facility utilisation.
  • Prepare financial models, presentations and materials for discussions with lenders and strategic financing partners.
  • Perform scenario analysis and evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of financing obligations, debt facilities and related financial risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financing activities are executed efficiently and aligned with business objectives.
  
Requirements:
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Around 10 years of experience in corporate finance, structured finance or asset finance, gained within a corporate organisation or financial institution.
  • Experience supporting or participating in financing transactions.
  • Good understanding of loan documentation, financing structures and credit fundamentals.
  • Exposure to the shipping, maritime or trading sector will be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with structured leasing solutions would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate financing options and provide sound recommendations.
