Coordinator – Technical Maintenance & Repairs
Location: Basel area, Switzerland

An established and internationally operating organisation within the maritime sector is seeking a Coordinator – Technical Maintenance & Repairs to support the day-to-day technical operations across its fleet.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of maintenance activities, repairs, and technical logistics, contributing directly to operational efficiency and overall guest experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Technical Maintenance & Repairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily technical operations across multiple vessels.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the smooth running of technical maintenance and repair activities
  • Coordinating suppliers and contractors for onboard repairs, maintenance, and component replacement
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently, limiting disruption to operations
  • Managing technical stores inventory and processing spare parts orders
  • Liaising closely with internal departments including nautical, hotel, finance, and administration teams
  • Communicating technical issues impacting operations, safety, or guest experience in a timely and effective manner
  • Providing a high standard of professional service to both internal and external stakeholders

Experience & Skills
  • Technical education or relevant practical experience, ideally within a marine or similar environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with technical or operational software systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and German; additional Dutch and/or French language skills are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required, please note this is an office based position and not a travelling role.
