In this role, you will be at the forefront of vessel operations—leading commissioning projects, solving complex technical challenges, and working closely with customers across the Asia Pacific region. If you enjoy a mix of fieldwork, problem-solving, and international exposure, this could be the perfect fit.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead commissioning activities for Waterjet propulsion and control systems, including installation support, system setup, sea trials, and crew training.
  • Deliver hands-on servicing, maintenance, and overhaul work both onboard vessels and in workshop environments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control system issues in real-world vessel operations.
  • Provide responsive technical support—both on-site and remotely—to customers, distributors, and service partners.
  • Support system integration with third-party equipment such as engines, gearboxes, dynamic positioning, and monitoring systems.
  • Respond to urgent vessel breakdowns and provide effective solutions under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Conduct vessel inspections and ensure systems are operating at optimal performance.
  • Prepare clear and timely service and commissioning reports.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by providing expert advice and training on system operation and maintenance.
  • Act as a key technical point of contact, ensuring all queries, feedback, and improvement requests are properly managed.
What We're Looking For
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Marine, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in marine, propulsion, or control systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electronic controls.
  • A hands-on problem solver who enjoys working in dynamic, real-world environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region, sometimes at short notice.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with international clients and stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence.
