This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual to support business growth across West Africa, developing relationships with customers across the maritime, offshore and energy sectors.
The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, developing key accounts, managing tender submissions and supporting commercial negotiations through to contract award.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across West Africa.
- Identify and pursue new commercial and business development opportunities.
- Manage and coordinate tender and bid submissions from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and supporting documentation.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract discussions.
- Develop relationships with oil & gas companies, shipowners, offshore operators and marine contractors.
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to develop commercially competitive solutions.
- Monitor market activity, upcoming projects and potential business opportunities.
- Attend client meetings and industry events where required.
- Previous experience within the maritime, shipping, offshore or oil & gas industry.
- A background in business development, sales, account management, tendering, bidding or vessel chartering would be well suited.
- Experience working for a shipowner, brokerage firm, offshore contractor or marine services business would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing tenders, bids and commercial proposals.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and international customers.
- Fluent French and English are essential.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
