  • £70,000–£100,000 salary range depending on experience
  • £8,833 car allowance
  • 30 days annual leave
  • Performance-related bonus scheme

  • Strong technical development within a respected specialist team
  • Travel opportunities for Member engagement and industry events
What we are looking for
  • You will manage a varied portfolio of P&I and FD&D claims, taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of each case.
  • This includes assessing liability and risk, shaping claims strategy and ensuring matters are handled efficiently and in Members’ best interests.
  • 3–5+ years’ experience (ideally 5+) in a law firm or P&I Club environment
  • Strong experience handling both P&I and FD&D claims
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales preferred and strongly prioritised)
  • Solid understanding of marine insurance, liability, and coverage issues
  • Confident communicator with the ability to advise stakeholders clearly and decisively
  • Comfortable working within structured authority limits and claims processes
You will be trusted to:
  • Analyse complex claims information and determine liability and exposure
  • Provide clear, practical advice to Members on strategy and resolution
  • Manage reserves, payments, reimbursements, and claims documentation
  • Ensure accurate monitoring of key dates, limitation periods, and diary systems
  • Handle FD&D matters including coverage assessment, cost monitoring, and budget requests
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with Members and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team
  • You will also have the opportunity to visit Members and play a visible role in supporting service delivery and long-term relationships.
If you are looking for a role where your expertise in P&I and FD&D claims is genuinely valued, and where you can take ownership of complex, meaningful work, this is a strong opportunity to step into. I will not apply without discussing with you first.
