Your tasks
• Preparation and coordination of the conclusion and renewal of insurance
• Claim management with regard to the operated seagoing and inland waterway vessels
• Coordination with experts, insurers and external lawyers in the event of claims
• Close cooperation with insurers, brokers, law firms, appraisers and authorities
• Review, negotiation and preparation of contracts (such as Time Charter Agreements, Contracts of Affreightment, etc.) and other legal documents
• Attentive monitoring of legal developments and forward-looking integration into the specialist departments
• Conducting internal training and briefings
• Support in the further development and expansion of the compliance management system
Your qualifications
• Relevant professional experience in the legal or insurance department of a company, ideally in the maritime industry
• In-depth knowledge of legal regulations of the maritime industry
• Good basic commercial understanding
• High degree of initiative, motivation and teamwork
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness as well as a secure and honest appearance
• Planning and organizational skills
