Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Growth Strategy
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the chartering, commodity trading, and energy sectors.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Build robust commercial business cases and go-to-market strategies to support growth initiatives.
- Leverage CRM systems, market intelligence, and data analytics to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and achieve short- and medium-term commercial objectives.
- Drive new customer acquisition through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
- Understand customer challenges and position solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively through the sales cycle.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations with senior stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless customer onboarding and transition to internal account management and operations teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Experienced in business development, enterprise sales, or commercial roles.
- Strong network and established relationships within the chartering, commodity trading, dry bulk, agribulk, or energy sectors.
- Experience working with charterers, commodity traders, shipowners, or maritime service providers is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in maritime technology, SaaS, digital solutions, risk management, or maritime services will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business, achieving revenue targets, and managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and translate insights into business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers across global organisations.
