Job Description

Are you a commercially driven business developer who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities from the ground up?
We're partnering with a global maritime services organisation looking to expand one of its strategic business lines.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated business development professional to play a key role in growing a specialist service offering within the shipbuilding and maritime industry.

We're looking for someone with a genuine hunter mentality who enjoys identifying opportunities, engaging new clients, and building long-term partnerships. Working alongside technical specialists, you'll focus on developing relationships, generating new business, and positioning the company's services within an evolving market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the global maritime sector.
  • Build relationships with shipowners, shipyards, designers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence.
  • Conduct market mapping to identify target clients and upcoming projects.
  • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline through proactive outreach.
  • Lead commercial discussions and support proposal development.
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop client solutions.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Travel internationally to develop new business opportunities.
Key Requirements
  • Degree qualified.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the maritime, offshore, engineering, or technical services sectors.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a passion for developing new business rather than managing existing accounts.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable working independently.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Exposure to shipbuilding, newbuild projects, naval architecture, or technical maritime services would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why Apply?
  • Opportunity to build and grow a strategic business line.
  • Global commercial exposure.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership.
  • Work alongside experienced technical specialists.
  • Join a respected international maritime organisation with strong growth ambitions.
