This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven maritime professional looking to develop customer relationships, grow market share, and work closely with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, and marine service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sales and business development activities across supply products such as chemicals, maintenance products, test kits, and shipboard consumables.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, and marine industry stakeholders.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow up on customer enquiries.
- Participate in customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
- Promote value-added services and new product offerings to customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet managers, technical superintendents, purchasing teams, and ship chandlers.
- Conduct vessel visits and customer meetings to understand operational requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Provide responsive after-sales support and coordinate issue resolution with internal teams.
- Support customer retention and account growth initiatives.
- Work closely with Operations, Procurement, and Technical teams to ensure timely product delivery and service support.
- Coordinate product availability, inventory requirements, and customer requests.
- Support technical training, troubleshooting, and product application discussions where required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer purchasing behaviour.
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, CRM updates, and pipeline reports.
- Provide feedback on customer requirements, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in marine sales, ship supply, marine engineering, maritime services, or related industries.
- Hindi-speaking is advantageous to serve Hindi-speaking clients & customers
- Exposure to marine chemicals, shipboard operations, technical supply, or vessel services will be advantageous.
- Existing relationships within Singapore's maritime sector are highly desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer engagement skills.
- Comfortable conducting customer visits, vessel visits, and attending industry events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
