Job Description

Faststream is partnering with a mutual insurance association that provides Protection & Indemnity (P&I) insurance to shipowners and charterers. This role supports the development and execution of loss prevention strategies across the APAC region, while contributing to global initiatives. It involves providing technical advisory, analysing marine incidents and claims, and delivering risk insights to enhance safety and operational performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct root cause analysis of marine incidents and claims, including vessel visits and stakeholder engagement
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and safety guidance for industry awareness
  • Support development of loss prevention initiatives and maintain technical data systems
  • Provide maritime advisory to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Deliver training through seminars, webinars, and management reviews
  • Represent the organisation in client engagements and industry forums
Requirements
  • Strong seagoing or ship management background, with offshore or specialised fleet exposure preferred
  • Experience in marine incident/claims analysis and understanding of P&I/marine insurance
  • Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and present technical concepts clearly
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel including vlookup, pivot table etc.
