I am currently working with a Luxury Cruise Company, and have an excellent opportunity for a Head Sommelier to join their expanding fleet of brand new vessels.
The ideal candidate for this role should have experience working on board passenger vessels as Head Sommelier or Cellar Master. This opportunity offers the chance to learn and develop new skills within a luxury cruise environment. Be involved in sought after voyages and new build projects, along with working an attractive 6/2 rotation.
As the Head Sommelier on board you will be supporting the Beverage Manager in daily operations and ensuring a friendly and professional service in all Bar and F&B areas. You will also be able to prepare and conduct Wine training to all F&B Departments as well as conduct lectures and Wine Tasting sessions for guests. You will report directly to the Beverage Manager and be responsible for team performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Internationally recognised Certified Sommelier Level I preferably Level II or Master Sommelier.
* Excellent English skills, written and spoken.
* At least 2 years in similar position in 4* or 5* operation and shipboard experience is essential.
* Ability to work independently. Be service and sales oriented and guest focused, be ambitious and with professional appearance.
