Our client is a global leader in maritime safety equipment and safety solutions. They are committed to improving all aspects of safety at sea and have global market share.
The Service Technician is a shore-based role but will be required to work on board client ships, whilst in port. The Service Technician is responsible for service and maintenance of safety equipment on board, including fire safety compression and suppression systems, breathing apparatus and life-saving equipment for safety at sea.
The role will be based in Houston but the Service Technician is expected to travel around the US and Canada, visiting client ships. The role would be suitable for an ex-seafarer with relevant experience and qualifications.
* Industrial experience of service and maintenance of fire compression systems, fire suppression systems and a range of safety and life-saving equipment. Industrial experience is likely to have been gained on-board vessels, at sea.
* Flexibility to travel extensively in the US and Canada, sometimes at short notice, working on board client ships in port.
* Client-focused attitude and a commitment to the delivery of a fast and effective service, in response to client requirements
This is an ideal opportunity for a ex-seafarer Service Technician to transition into a shore-based role, applying industrial skills and knowledge to service equipment on board a range of client vessels.
