|Division:||NAVAL ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN JOBS|
Faststream is currently recruiting for the Hampshire office of an international design and build consultancy. Seeking a Naval Architect to add to their growing team, my client seeks someone who can produce both design calculations and technical drawings.
Knowledge of probabilistic damage stability using NAPA is crucial- the software skills you bring will add real value to the existing team.
Specialising in the marine sector, you will work on all types of commercial vessels, passenger ships and superyachts. Typical activities will include concept and detailed design, stability/structural analysis, propulsion studies and project management, for both new build and re-fit projects. Previous experience leading incline experiments for cruise ships is of real interest, as this is a very busy sector of the market for my client.
Prior experience in a design and build office or ship yard is essential, which will have given you knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, allowing you to produce statutory Flag documentation for the above vessel types.
You must also be comfortable client facing- as a consultant you will be attending site visits and commissioning trails and collaborating closely with a range of clients all over the world. The flexibility to travel is very important.
To be considered you must have a degree, and be chartered with RINA membership, a valid passport, and current Right To Work in the UK.
This is a fabulous opportunity to develop with a company who are seen as real knowledge leaders within the industry. To apply please send you CV with a short paragraph outlining your suitability for this particular role.
