We are looking for a Naval Architect for an international shipping company to be based in Hong Kong. This position will report to the Technical Manager and will work closely with the project site team for their new build, retrofit and dry docking projects in Korea, China and Japan.
The relevant candidate must have at least 5 years of new build, retrofit and dry docking project experience handling dry and tanker vessels. You should be well versed with class rules and regulations by OCIMF/Terminals, familiar with compliance and regulatory requirements for the exhaust gas cleaning system, selective catalytic reduction, and ballast water treatment system. Experience in enhancing environmental and energy efficiency operation of the fleet will be an advantage. You should be experienced in preparing dry docking and repair plans related to hull, deck, steel renewal, reinforcements, etc. including damage survey, life cycle analysis of the vessels and performance monitoring. You should be comfortable using engineering software in performing the assigned tasks.
To qualify for the role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture with good communication, leadership, planning and problem solving skills.
