One of our favourite clients is looking for a Marine Engineer with a Naval Architecture background to join the Ship/Offshore Hull department in London.
The successful candidate will join a team of Engineers responsible for the plan review and approval of marine vessel's drawings and documents primarily through the verification of compliance with Class requirements and Statutory Regulations covering the Structural, Stability & Tonnage and Safety aspects of marine vessel's design and operations.
An understanding of or working knowledge of Class Rules and Statutory regulations (e.g.: SOLAS, ICLL, MCA LY3, MARPOL, SPS Code, MODU Code) ship operations and shipbuilding practices is required for the role.
Knowledge of software to perform structural and stability calculations.
Degree qualified in Naval Architecture.
Industry experience developed in a Shipyard, Design or Consultancy, Shipping company or Classification Society.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal (English).
Proof Right to Work in UK.
