Faststream is working with a large vessel owner which has a global reach. With a fleet exceeding 80+ vessels They are one of the major players within the market that they operate. They have a newly created Support team to help them more efficiently manage the vessels in regards to performance and they are looking to continue the success and efficiency this team has brought to the business through natural growth of the team. The vacancy calls for someone who has an analytical and problem-solving mind.
You would be working alongside multiple functions within the large business in order to collate data from performance systems in order to continually improve the maintenance schedules of the vessels and ultimately increase the productivity of the vessels by reducing downtime.
Examples of the kind of challenges you will face in this role include providing technical data and analytics to the fleet team in a way that is usable for increasing efficiency and performance. You will be at the forefront of the digital revolution which is taking place in the ship management space at the moment. This transformation within this business has a strong long term strategic vision, which you would be a part of. Someone who has an affinity for analytics, data and holds technical knowledge in regards to large merchant vessels will want to apply for this opportunity.
The key attributes and experience the client will be looking for in a CV to be shortlisted for interview will be a degree in the technical maritime field, experience in shipboard reporting, experience using multiple different applications and systems and analytical experience in regards to merchant's vessels. The willingness to travel worldwide is also a must-have to be considered eligible for the vacancy.
