Faststream have partnered with a growing ship management company with multiple offices internationally. They are currently searching for a Director of Ship Management to run their office in Ukraine and continue the success this growing part of the business has experienced over the past 3 years. This role will be part of a very proactive team that is part of a fast moving business and will expose the successful candidate to the management and responsibility for a team of over 30+ individuals, with wider responsibility for crewman and fringe shore staff as well.
The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple facets within the business, including but not limited to: Further development of Tanker Management operations, actively participating in the company's current and future projects, approving the budget for existing vessels and preparing the budget for project vessels. You will report to the Managing Director, and at times the owners, to ensure all responsibilities are met. There will be clear objectives set and strategic long term plans put in place to allow this individual to succeed along with the already successful business.
The ideal candidate will come from a rich background within the shipping industry, that has the ability to work in a dynamic and fast growing business. Someone who has had a role to play in the past success of ship management businesses or partnered along side ship owners will thrive in this environment. The right person will have working knowledge of both the dry and wet market, while also having had a role to play in all arms of a shipping company. This must include Accounting, Payroll, IT, Administration, Technical QHSE etc.
The package for the right candidate will be suitable for the level of the position. Additionally any relocation costs will be provided for the individual and their family. Salary commensurate with experience
£50,000 + Company Car with Fuel Card, Pension, Health Care and Relocation
