Vessel Manager

Our client is an international operator and owner of a fleet of offshore assets which include semi submersibles and jack up rigs. A position has arisen for a Vessel Manager in their Aberdeen offices whereby they are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join the team and head up and supervise the management of one of their jack-up rigs daily operations.
The Role
- You will head up and supervise all of the assets daily operations which will include the hotel facilities, inspection, repair and maintenance responsibilities
- Partake in the control of certification and verification of the asset which will include liaising with class and other authorities
- Participate in budget preparation and daily cost inspections alongside Directors and Line Managers
- Head up the approval of material requisitions and purchase orders and liaise between all stakeholders involved
- Continuously strive to develop and maintain high levels of accuracy with formal documentation and reports
- Assist in advising commercial departments on new and existing contracts via market appraisals and intel
The Person:
- Chief Engineer CoC1 unlimited or Degree qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent
- BOSIET inc. HUET and Offshore Medical
- Experience and knowledge of marine operations and in a senior management/technical supervision/project management role
- Rig, semi-submersible and jack up experience essential
The role will have a good mix of hands on and commercial elements and will see you managing one of the clients jack-up's currently in operation in the North Sea. You will also earn a generous salary with a car allowance and benefits package.
