Within the Oil and Gas industry our client is regarded as an extremely reputable marine offshore engineering consultancy. With the reputation of getting jobs done well come the acquisition of major projects within the industry and the need for more expert professional to join the current team. Furthermore they would like to invite applications from talented Naval Architects to join their specialist ports and harbours functions within the organisation.

Job Description

The key dimensions of the role include:

• Providing expert consultative advice on naval architecture, engineering, risk analysis and operational simulation.
• Assist on mooring design and analysis, vessel motions studies, shipping studies and marine risk studies.
• Project management of Naval projects, working within a multi-disciplined team.
• Liaising with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will hold the following skills and qualifications:

• A degree qualification in Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Chartered membership of RINA or IMarEST is desirable - or the candidate should be pursuing Chartered status.
• Experience of technical software is desirable e.g. OPTIMOOR, MOSES, FE packages and AutoCAD.
• Previous experience in vessel analysis, ideally within the ports and harbours / shipping sectors.
