We are currently recruiting for a Senior Naval Architect to work for a global producer of aluminium workboats based in the UK. You will be involved in the design and production of workboats for operators across a wide range of industries, including Oil and Gas and Renewables. You will be ensuring that company designed vessels comply with regulations and work closely with others in the team to manage technical quality and progress.

Responsibilities

To prepare technical specifications and undertake the detailed design of vessels
To manage a small team of Naval Architects, design subcontractors and draughtsmen
To oversee, plan and manage the design process by liaising with project managers
To manage the technical interface with clients and attend project meetings

Requirements

Must be degree-qualified in Naval Architecture
Strong background in the marine industry, workboat experience is preferable
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
